As the year draws to a close, it’s an opportunity to reflect on what has been a busy twelve months here at PMW Dynamics. From supporting next-generation electric aviation platforms to scaling production for autonomous agricultural vehicles, PMW has continued to demonstrate how specialist engineering, backed by British manufacturing expertise, can deliver reliable results in complex, real-world environments.
One of the year’s most significant milestones has been PMW Dynamics’ involvement in the development of electric motors for passenger-carrying eVTOL aircraft. Through close collaboration with Intergalactic, PMW has engineered a bespoke motor for the cooling and thermal management system used within Eve Air Mobility’s eVTOL platform.
Designed specifically for a high-voltage 900V DC bus architecture, the motor has been developed from the ground up to meet the stringent electrical, thermal, and reliability requirements of electric aviation. Weight efficiency, durability, and system integration were central considerations, ensuring the motor supports not only thermal regulation of batteries and avionics, but also overall aircraft efficiency and certification readiness.
This project reflects PMW’s broader approach to aerospace development: working directly with customers at system level to deliver tailored motor solutions where off-the-shelf alternatives simply won’t suffice.

Beyond aerospace, PMW Dynamics has also seen strong momentum in the agricultural robotics sector. This year marked the placement of a significant large-volume order from Earth Rover, supporting the build of 50 CLAWS autonomous vehicles powered by PMW’s IG9190 geared motors.
Designed for non-chemical weed control, CLAWS operates in unpredictable field conditions and demands consistent torque, precise positional control, and robust environmental durability. PMW’s motors play a critical role in enabling the platform’s stop-start mobility, sub-centimetre accuracy, and energy-efficient operation across long autonomous duty cycles.
More than a supply relationship, the collaboration with Earth Rover highlights PMW’s commitment to working alongside customer engineering teams, supporting integration, testing, and real-world deployment as platforms transition from prototype to production.

Like much of the manufacturing sector, PMW Dynamics has continued to navigate challenges associated with global supply chain disruption.
Rather than compromising on quality or delivery, PMW has relied on proven mitigation strategies developed over years of experience. These include forward-planning procurement, maintaining strategic stock holdings, qualifying alternative suppliers where appropriate, and designing flexibility into motor architectures to reduce dependency risk.
These measures have enabled PMW to continue supporting customer programmes with confidence, even in an uncertain global environment, reinforcing reliability as a core part of the company’s value proposition.
The year also saw PMW Dynamics return to DSEI, which proved to be one of the most successful exhibitions in the company’s history. With over 45,000 attendees at ExCeL London, PMW’s stand hosted conversations including VTOL propulsion, bespoke motor design, and UK manufacturing capability.
Strong engagement with both industry and government representatives resulted in hundreds of qualified leads and reinforced PMW’s position as a trusted partner for precision motion solutions within the defence and security sectors. The momentum generated at DSEI has already translated into new opportunities and commitments heading into the year ahead.
Taken together, the past year has been one of meaningful progress for PMW Dynamics: advancing electric aviation, supporting sustainable agriculture, overcoming supply chain pressures, and strengthening relationships across aerospace and defence.
As PMW Dynamics moves into the year ahead, several exciting developments are already underway. A key area of progress is the development of ADM - Advanced Drone Motor, a new off-the-shelf motor designed specifically for demanding UAV applications. Engineered and manufactured exclusively in the UK, ADM is intended to offer customers a readily available solution that delivers PMW’s proven performance, reliability, and build quality, without the lead times typically associated with fully bespoke programmes.
